I chose Chicago for my map because I often vacation to the city and I'm now very familiar with the city. I wanted to give the map a cool, pop-culture, cartoon look in order to express the relaxed illustrations a laid back vibe. I thought making the compass rose the city flag would be a fun detail, and the illustration turned out great. The locations in the map are my favorite places to visit while in Chicago, and I'm glad I was able to share that.
